Anna Sudha, Program for hunger relief and to reduce the food insecurity by distributing the needed food items to the children, youth, elderly, and families in Shelter homes or for the needy communities guided by the principles of Hindu Social service ideals shown by the divine mother Anna Purna Devi.
Free food distribution under Anna Sudha to address rising levels of food insecurity Hunger is a constant reality for anyone living in poverty. Many individuals and families must make the impossible choice between paying their rent or buying food. One in eight people in Maryland, and one in four in Baltimore City, are food insecure. The impact is seen to be more widespread among vulnerable communities including women, Latinx households, the elderly and low-income families.
The Anna Sudha program of Mata Darbar will conduct programs across various cities in the USA to donate food supplies which would help to meet the needs of deserving communities.
